YEAR To-Do List by month

Hopefully I'll come back to this regularly as a list of things to do, specific to my garden and climate.

JAN
Sow brassica seeds for winter: include brussel sprouts, cabbages, caulis, broccoli
Prune apricots as soon as they're done fruiting.

FEB
Sow more cabbages, caulis, broccoli, onions, parsnips, carrots
If summer-prune is needed for fruit, do it.

MAR
Plant garlic
Sow more cabbages, caulis, broccoli, onions, parsnips, carrots
Mulch cherry

APR
Prune and spray stonefruit (bordeaux, copper sulfate, etc.)
Plant potatoes
Braid and store sweet potato slips
Trim and mulch asparagus

MAY
Make composts for spring
harvest water chestnuts
prune and spray apricot trees (from now until June, depending on weather)
Collect autumn leaves

JUN
compost leafmould from liquid ambers
trim back raspberries for summer fruiting
prune apples
plant radishes, beetroot, silverbeet, lettuces, asian greens
sieve summer composts and put on rotating beds

JUL
Plant tomatoes and greenhouse
Prune stonefruit for growth
Mulch Cherry and Donut Peach (particularly)
Graft apples
plant radishes, beetroot, silverbeet, lettuces, asian greens

AUG
Plant in greenhouse tomatoes, eggplants, corn, cucumbers, pumpkin, zucchini
plant radishes, beetroot, silverbeet, lettuces, asian greens
tend potato-pumpkin bed: pull green mulches and lay along.

SEP
sow corn
Plant in greenhouse tomatoes, eggplants, corn, cucumbers, pumpkin, zucchini
plant melons and pumpkins
net stonefruit trees as soon as fruit has set

OCT
sow corn
plant everything
alphamite water chooks (get ahead of the spring flush)

NOV
sow corn
net mango
plant everything
alphamite water chooks

DEC
prune fruited trees down for next year
sow corn
alphamite water chooks
